Studio product photography for Solid State Logic

MicroGraphix has produced all promotional photography for the innovative additions to the ‘System T’, network-based, live-to-air, broadcast, audio production systems made by Solid State Logic (SSL).

SSL, head-quartered in Oxford, manufactures audio consoles, equipment and systems for creative audio professionals, around the world. SSL’s studio, live and broadcast products are used in both pre- and post-production film, video, broadcast sound and live venue applications. They are preferred by many of the world’s leading production studios and used by music greats, including Bryan Adams, Peter Gabriel, Blur and Sting.

MicroGraphix was excited to photograph all new additions to the System T, broadcast range, ready for their launch at the NAB Show 2017, in Las Vegas. The photographs are used on all SSL’s global product marketing materials, including brochures, datasheets, website, digital media and social media.

MicroGraphix was keen to capture the build-quality of System T, whilst creating an essential, moody, mixing studio-feel to the images. Multiple shots at different exposures were used and blended together in layers to produce the final images. This allowed for the highly-detailed, LED screens on the System T products to be bright and crystal clear against a darker background. MicroGraphix was also able to highlight key parts of the products with pools of light, whilst emphasising the cabinet’s rugged construction and textured finish.
