Terry, our senior designer celebrates 20 years with MicroGraphix

Terry - MicroGraphix Senior Designer
Terry’s first association with MicroGraphix was when he completed a week’s work experience while studying art and design at the Oxfordshire School of Art.

Terry joined MicroGraphix in a full-time role in 2002 after graduating from De Montfort University with a first-class degree in graphic design.

Terry’s words;

It’s been fantastic to be part of the growth and success story of MicroGraphix. We’re like one big family, and the positive working relationships and friendships I’ve made during my 20 years with the company have been key to my time here.

I’ve always had a passion for design, and becoming a graphic designer was something I aspired to when I was younger. I wouldn’t describe myself as a fine artist, but design and problem-solving are my areas of strength.

The key to the company’s success over the years is our passion for what we do. Developing our clients’ audiences and sales figures through creative brand promotion sits at the heart of our work, and we can have a lot of fun with it.

I’ve met and worked with many people in the last 20 years; it’s been quite the ride since stepping through our office doors as an enthusiastic youngster on work experience!

The industry has changed a lot since I joined. When I started, the technology we’re accustomed to today was still relatively new. There has also been a significant shift in how designers can communicate with clients and deliver better results via improved software and technology.

The equipment and software we use these days allow us to deliver quicker, more effective and creative results across various platforms from print to packaging, digital and social media.

They have unlocked a far more efficient way of working, allowing us designers to take our creativity to new levels. Knowing your design work directly impacts a client and its business is a great feeling. I look forward to continuing in this role for many years.”
