MG
MG is more than an iconic octagonal badge; it is once again a motoring force to be reckoned with. This much-loved British brand has been re-launched with the financial backing of one of the world’s largest car manufacturers. In 2016 we photographed their MG GS model.

MG chooses Micrographix for All-Important New SUV Photography
MG Cars’ renaissance continues to gather pace with the launch of a new SUV, the MG GS, which takes its place in the line-up alongside the MG3 supermini and MG6 fastback. And for the press and marketing photography of this all-important new model, MG Cars chose Micrographix in Bicester.
Although the original Morris Garages started in Oxford in 1924, the present-day company is based in Birmingham, where a team of 300 engineers develops the initial concepts for all MG vehicles. The styling team, led by Tony Williams-Kenny, has created a contemporary, stylish and sporty SUV. Its lines and interior detailing were captured at the Micrographix studio in Bicester by senior photographer Chris Coggins, a Micrographix director.
The versatility of Micrographix’ infinity cove, lighting rig and large inventory of photographic equipment enabled Chris to achieve the precise modelling effect with light he and the client sought, highlighting the clean lines and sculptural surfaces of the new MG GS.
